• New Gods nominated for SAY Award

SAY-awardMy second LP, ‘New Gods’ has been nominated for Scottish Album Of The Year alongside a clutch of brilliant albums. On behalf of myself and the band it is great to be on that list, especially to demonstrate that the idea of the ‘album’ as an artistic statement is alive and kicking and well represented in Scotland.

News of this year’s longlist and details of the nominated albums (hopefully some you haven’t heard already) can be found here…

Tour-wise I am back in the UK for a few band dates before hitting Europe with Woodpigeon for some solo shows, check the site for more on that this week.

  • New Tees For The Old Ceremony

New tee shirts and old, records and other WH-related paraphernalia, can be found if you dig around HERE – I will try and hit Christmas UK posting dates and I send first class but obviously easier if you give me an order in good time. I am also usually happy to scrawl on things. Happy holidays. Hard sell over.

The 4th annual Withered Hand headline band show at the Queen’s Hall has now been announced and is on the evening of Thursday 21st August.

The band will be performing songs from ‘New Gods’, along with selected favourites from the WH back catalogue and a smattering of solo cuts. Please come join us in Edinburgh for what is sure to be a great evening in this fantastic historic venue.

Special guests this year are now confirmed but will be announced much nearer the time. Special guests at previous WH festival shows have included Eugene Kelly, Darren Hayman, Josie Long, King Creosote, Meursault and eagleowl.
